Dr. Ann Hoscheit
Dr. Hoscheit, a displaced Minnesota farm girl, has been a resident of Gastonia for 13 years. Prior to forming Summit Eye Associates in 2003, Dr. Hoscheit was a founding partner of Gaston Eye Associates.
A graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry, she completed her residency in Ocular Disease/Hospital-Based Optometry at the Albuquerque V.A. Medical Center. Her professional experience also includes serving as assistant clinical professor and clinic Director at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. Dr. Hoscheit is a regular contributor to numerous optometric publications and lectures nationally on a variety of topics to other optometric physicians.
The founding of Summit Eye Associates enables her to bring to the Gastonia area an optometric practice that integrates optimum personal service with state-of-the-art technology.
Dr. Sandra Farnham
There is more to Dr. Farnham than meets the eye. Her first career was nursing - right here in Gaston County. After pursuing four more years of training at Indiana University to become an optometric physician, she continued on to complete internships at Indianapolis Eye Care Center, Atwater Community Eye Care Center, and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
When Dr. Farnham completed her training, she wanted nothing more than to return to her North Carolina “home” and came to Summit Eye Associates in 2005.
